Situated in the heart of medieval Ludlow which is overlooked by its Norman Castle and within easy walking distance of its many cafes, pubs and restaurants including a Thai, Japanese, a Chinese, a Bangladeshi and two Indian restaurants; there are also excellent traditional restaurants, plus of course TWO outstanding Michelin starred restaurants.
The comfortable Georgian cottage, which was previously two separate cottages - hence the two red front doors! - has a wealth of beams and a welcoming and cosy atmosphere.
The accommodation consists of a good-sized bedroom with king-size bed, private bathroom with shower over the bath and your own sitting-room/television room overlooking the street. A second bedroom with king-sized bed is available but only as part of the same booking, i.e. for families or two couples travelling together.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available too!
This excellent value B & B can be enjoyed without a car and guests can be collected from the station if required.
Full cooked breakfast (with a Scottish twist!) is served in the beamed dining-room at a large oak refectory table. Vegetarians are, of course, fully catered for as are others with special dietary needs. Why not try Elaine's delicious home-made potato scones and courgette and cheese fritters?
There are numerous walks from the door Walkers can leave the town by one of the two bridges across the River Teme and take one of several paths over the common or along the river bank.
